So I decided it was time to change my user pic, because the halo one was getting boring. Gentlemen, behold! It's something I whipped up in a few days. Pretty snazzy, huh? I would put up the full version, but I'm afraid of snoopers who might decide to steal my wonderful piece of artwork. But the user pic should be plenty enough for people to derive what else is in the picture. Just imagine a knife in one hand, and a spleen in the other, and you pretty much have what the picture entails. I do need to draw more.

Ok fine...if you want to see a full version of the pic, you can check it out here. It's a half scale version of the original (which was a 65 megapixel image) I had to scale it down by half (that makes it a 32.5 megapixel image for those who are algebraically challenged) just so I could make prints at work (the machine wouldn't send the file to the photo lab)

Black Mage

So I picked up Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the DS. Let me tell you first off that it is one of the most...awesome games out there. I can't believe how much kick-ass this game packs into such a tiny little cartridge. I only found one draw back. After playing for about forty-five minutes or so...I stopped, and my vision is a bit blurry. I can also see the shapes when I close my eyes. Probably a bad thing, but meh. Still one kick ass arcade style game of hyper fun. My vision is slowly correcting itself though. It is only one more in my slowly growing collection of gaming. Yatta! That makes fourteen DS games all together, and the collection will only grow. I really want to pick up a copy of "Legend of the Unemployed Ninja: Izuna" because it looks like it could be fun. By the way, it is dark and you are likely to be eaten by a gru.

So apparently threatening my PC with total erasure of it's current existing mind...made it have a change of heart. It's now accepted the nVidia drivers, and all is well. Now time to install the fifty bajillion updates that this computer needs to run coherently. And that's including, to my dismay, the .NET 3.0 framework. Huzzah for me.

So recovery from my hard drive's partition didn't work. I do have one last resort. I will be running my recovery DVD's in chance it works. If not, I may just have to buy another new graphic card if I can't find that CD. If it comes down to that, an 8800 GT wouldn't be bad. Oh how I love nVidia. In the mean time, enjoy this scene from the Boukenger movie. Remember, Hatenaki Bouken Spirits!

<lj-embed id="1" />

    <lj:music>What Would Brian Boitano Do?</lj:music>

So I had an urge...an urge to game last night!

Space Cowboy Online was my choice this time around. So there I go, load a new copy of it (because my current was being dumb and not updating,) updated it, ran the game, blue screen of death! How angry was I? To make it worse, the computer would no longer boot normally. It would only boot in safe mode. So I tried a recovery. Don't I feel like a genius. I lost my graphic card driver CD, so without that, I can't reinitialize the majority of my poor PC. Then again I really only did a recovery through the recovery partition of my hard drive. I'm considering doing a full fledged wipe and recover. Hopefully that will get it going. Then maybe the download from nVidia will work then. It's once again being fussy. HP...nightmare in a box! I really need to learn how to build my own PC. Though...the stories I read (stories is read as reviews) on newegg.com, I'm afraid of building and getting one running without a fire extinguisher. Apparently they are either just too new at building PC's, or they really do catch fire that often. Dream PC would have a lovely little quad core processor and eight gig's of RAM. That would be lovely. All on an SLI motherboard. That would be divine. And since I had to recover the hard drive on the crap-in-a-box, I lost any new tokusatsu I had downloaded. It wasn't much, but it took a while to download. The first twenty-two episodes or so of Madan Senki Ryukendo, and episode twenty-three to end of Ultraman Nexus. Yep, gigantic nerd. Luckily I have most of my good tokusatsu backed up to a portable hard drive. About three and three-quarters years of Super Sentai, and two and two-quarters years of Kamen Rider. Such wonderful television, I must say so myself.

In other news, I am now Titanium certified with Nintendo, believe it or not. I love my job. I work at a Wolf Camera and am certified with Nintendo. Not just any certification. Titanium level! Doesn't get any higher than that. And did a little bit of Fujifilm and Nikon certification, so I'm actually entered in to win some prizes from there. Hopefully I'll get the grand prize from Nikon. It's a D40X with two AFS lenses. The standard 18-55mm lens it normally comes with, and a vibration reduction 55-200mm zoom lens, which is grand. It's no D80, but it's still a superb camera. It's what I would like to start off with for a DSLR. As for point and shoots, I'd love to have the Fujifilm S8000fd. It has an 18X optical zoom and 8.0 MP...it's heaven with a lens. Not to mention it's CCD sensor is much bigger than your standard digital camera, though not as large as a DSLR. There are lots of things I wish I could have, but really need to delegate my funding. So it'll be a while until I can have my DSLR or any digital camera for that matter. But it's no biggie. I don't necessarily need it. Priority one will probably be computer side anyway. It's my higher interest than photography in general.

Gentlemen...behold!!! I must say I have to thank Street for introducing me to Blackmore's Night. It's quite an awesome group. It reminds me of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but with a Renaissance flair to it. He gave me Ghost of a Rose, which is awesome in of it self. But I'm definitely going to take some time to look more and more into their music. I really want to get the Transformer's Score CD...the music is awesome. Maybe I can ask my sister to get it for me for Christmas (hint hint.) It shouldn't be hard to find. It's probably on Amazon.com. I would normally just get it for myself, but then that would pose lots of problems, also known as, no one knows what to get me for Christmas. And that's never a good thing. At least I found a decent idea for my sister. I also need to think of something affordable for my brother to get me. Maybe I should be like "You're going with me to a draft on a Friday night!" What a wonderful and delightful thing that would be to do to him. Magic draft is awfully fun though, if not skill testing.

All in all, this boils down to one thing...I didn't get to play space cowboy...and that makes me irritable...
